This is a simple timber frame lake home using pine timbers. The homeowners took a course at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais MN where they shaped all the timbers and then had a timber raising with friends to put it all together on site. We came in after that and finished some of the timber work and assembled the SIP panel shell and finished everything else including the timber stairs and railing with the stainless steel cable and all the other finish work, siding and steel roof. A fun project for sure.
