A Simple Lake Home, Douglas Fir and Stone

This is a simple lake home in the Ely Minnesota area. The original design was done by Dale Mulfinger of SALA Architects. There was a lot of Douglas Fir used in this project in the form of the large timber scissor trusses and the ceiling paneling and the doors. In the basement we used pine paneling that was milled from all the large Red Pine trees that fell during a big blow down that happened in the early days of this project.
